Hemp Genetics

We spent months searching for hemp seed genetics that fit our requirements. The list was long. It included an ideal CBD to THC ratio, authentic flower sample COA’s, and varieties that would grow well in the northeast. We searched for feminized S1 seed and wanted to know how the seed producer prevented cross pollination. We wanted seed with standardized labels that included hemp variety, lot number, origin, net weight, percentage of pure seed, germination rate and in our case, feminization rate. Lastly, we did not want to engage with sellers who required 10k+ seed order minimums. We talked to many fly by night seed providers that could not answer our very basic questions. We needed to find a seed producer we could trust.

Cheyenne Mountain Seed Company was our answer. We appreciated all of the details and helpful information they included on their website. After multiple phone calls ,a video conference and careful review of documentation we formed an agreement to clone their proprietary varieties; both Mountain Mango and Quick Kush. Their expertise and genuine varietal enthusiasm is contagious.

Our Cherry Wine variety comes from a trusted grower we befriended in Tennessee. We have personally visited their greenhouses and have seen Cherry Wine’s growth cycle from clone to flowering in the field at maturity. With over 30 years of growing experience we had no doubt that PWP Greenhouses was a proven, reliable, source for our Cherry Wine variety.
